The Hobson Store, previously known as Bordovsky’s Store, was purchased by Mike & Toni Foster on March 14, 2012. The original Bordovsky’s Store, which burnt down in 2001, offered hardware, plumbing supplies, farm and water well supplies, beverages, and meats and cheese. The Bordovsky’s Store supplied the little town of Hobson and surrounding areas for many years. After the store burnt down, Aubrey and Linda Bordovsky decided to build back, but much smaller than before. They continued to offer hardware, plumbing and well supplies. They also kept the beer! The Bordovsky’s Store was a local hot spot for a cold brew and some good story telling. Mike always told Aubrey that when he was ready to retire, he wanted to buy the store. So in December of 2011, Aubrey and Linda decided it was time. The store was purchased by the Foster's and then the story continued with a name and family change, but still the same home town atmosphere. Some expansions included adding onto the existing building, so we could expand our products. Luckily, Mike is a general contractor, but the expansion has been a work in progress. Our products include plumbing, electrical, hardware, small tools, beer and wine, fresh flowers, plants, gifts, as well as other beverages and snacks. If we don't have it we can get it.
